One of the most common problems in modern houses with stoneware floorings are joints, as they’re more absorbent than floor. Joints’ protection will have to be totally executed with an appropriated product which has to be water and oil-repellent at the same time like our FC26 FUGA OK; its packaging has been expressly studied to simplify the application thanks to the comfortable spout. 1 or 2 applications will be enough for protecting joints for a long time and make them very easy to clean.

Stoneware light floors that are placed outside are often subject of greying due to the dirt that normal detergents are not able to remove. In this case we recommend using FC05 GRES UP because, thanks to its particular formulation, it has the power of blenching the surface by eliminating that veil of grey and bringing the surfaces to their natural beauty.
The residues of laying can be easily removed by cleaning the surfaces with an acid detergent. Obviously it is recommended to use a product that, even with an efficient descaling. Action, does not damage the surface or joints, so it is particularly indicated the delicate acid detergent FC02 GRESCAL, a concentrated product that dissolves the limescale facilitating the complete removal without ruining the surface or joints.
Surely, it is not recommended to use bleach, ammonia and other aggressive detergents, as well as the use of direct steam currents as they could ruin eventual waxy films. It is recommended to use delicate detergents with pH 7 such as FC04 SEVEN or FC07 LUXORY, both very delicate on the surfaces but absolutely efficient for the removal of the dirt.
Surely, further to a water and oil –repellent protection, it would be better to apply some liquid waxes that can give the surface different finishings: FC40 GLOSSY, natural wax with satin effect, or FC40 JOKER, a liquid wax with a opaque effect. Both, besides improving the aesthetic aspect of the surface, facilitate the cleaning allowing a higher slip to eventual rags or mop that are used for the ordinary cleansing.
Saltpeter that could appear on a floor is easily removable through a cleansing executed with the concentrated acid detergent FC01 DECALC. It will be necessary to stop the following growth, in this case it could be useful apply the water based waterproof treatment FC20 IDRO CARE, which has anti-saltpeter action, even letting the natural aspect of the surface unaltered and guaranteeing the regular transpiration.
A terracotta surface that is not treated has to be considered a surface at risk, since it is a very porous material. To create an oil-repellent barrier it could be applied the water based sealer oil-repellent FC22 OLEO CARE, by applying two crossed hands. If it is wanted to exalt the beauty of the material giving it a more warm aspect, the liquid wax with satin effect FC40 GLOSSY can be used.
For the cleansing of after-laying residues, it is recommended to use the product FC01 DECALC, acid detergent that is able to remove and eliminate concrete residues, grouts and eventual saltpeter. The product, even if it is concentrated, contains special corrosion inhibitors thanks to which joints will not be damaged. Therefore Fc 01 DECALC is a buffered acid, so it won’t emit fumes.
Normally for the removal of limestone from a surface are used acid pH detergents. These detergents can be dangerous on marble surfaces, as they are composed with limescale so they are incompatible. Federchemicals has studied an innovative detergent because it can be used without fear on every delicate surface. The product is called Fc 60 SOFT BAGNO and it has the power of removing layers of limescale without creating burning on work tops.
External surfaces are attacked by many factors such as: rain, particulate, moss with animal origins etc…. In order to keep them well conserved, in their original beauty, it is recommended to apply a waterproof treatment like FC 20 IDRO CARE or FC 21 IDROSOLV. These products will create an in-depth waterproof barrier without leaving any superficial film; in this way water, which is the first vehicle of damaging, won’t have the way to penetrate and settle external agents into the material.
For a thorough cleansing it can be used the acid detergent FC 02 GRESCAL, in order to remove the heavy or after laying dirt, then the water based oil-repellent protective FC 24 WET FT can be applied in one or two crossed hands.
In order to remove wax layers it can be used a wax remover detergent, in our case it can be used the detergent FC03 DEGREASER: concentrated water based wax remover, by diluting it in water in a variable percentage depending on the material that has to be removed.
